Talks at PalmSource 2002
I'm in the middle of getting last minute demoware ready for Metrowerks to show at PalmSource 2002 this week, but I wanted to let everyone know where they can find me. I'll be at the Metrowerks both occasionally, but I'll be spending most of my time attending all the talks and presentations I can.
Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday Night: Open Labs
Heather Tufts and I will be the Metrowerkers-On-Call at the open labs every night. I hung out in the labs last year, and it was a blast. I got to meet a lot of developers from Palm and other companies, and I got a lot done on the VChat program that was distributed at the show.
Wednesday, Feb. 6th, 2:50PM: 410 Metrowerks Next Generation Palm OS Development Tools
I'm not doing this talk, but I'll be there to provide backup to the speaker, Gerardo Dada, our marketing lead. I'll also help answer and questions from the audience.
Thursday, Feb. 7th, 10:00AM: 490RT Tools Vendor Roundtable
I'll be there along with my collegues John Marshall (PRC-Tools), Doug Armstrong (AppForge), Doug Olson (PocketStudio), George Henee (NS/Basic), and Aaron Ardiri (PilRC), participating in a panel discussion and Q&A.
thursday, Feb. 7th, 2:50PM: 107 Inside CodeWarrior
Palm's J.B. Parrett is giving this talk. I'll be there to heckle! Seriously, he should do a good job, but if there are any questions he can't answer, I'll be ready to provide help and explanations.
Friday, Feb. 8th, 10:05AM: 113 Effective C++ Development Using CodeWarrior Tools
This is my talk. Topics include the cost and benefits of C++, how to reduce the overhead of templates and exceptions, taking advantage of expanded mode in CodeWarrior for Palm OS V8, and the new Object Library for Palm OS we will be including in our future products.
