I've posted a new ZIP file here called x86let_Sample.zip. This contains two CodeWarrior projects: a CW for Palm OS V8 project that builds a simple app called Minimize, and a CW for Windows V7 project that builds a Palm OS Simulator extension DLL. This is the hack that won a prize at PalmSource 2002 -- when you launch the Minimize program in the simulator, the DLL gets activated, finds the simulator window, and minimizes it to the task bar.
If you don't have CodeWarrior for Windows, you still should be able to follow the code. The exercise of turning my simple .c file into a DLL is left as an exercise for the reader.
