CodeWarrior 8.1 patch, Part 1
Online, I've been mentioning a CodeWarrior for Palm OS 8.1 patch. We're in the middle of preparing this, mostly based on bug reports we've gotten on version 8. I can't say exactly what will make the patch, but here are a few things we are considering:
- Update wizards to generate HandEra QVGA and Symbol scanner source code when you use those SDKs in a new application
- Add option to wizards to let you choose Palm or Metrowerks coding style
- Add wizard support for Samsung SPH-I300 SDK
- Improve the organization of the Palm OS SDK help files
- Support virtual functions for non-global launch codes in expanded mode
- Add expanded mode link map support
- Fix standard compliance problems with MSL C library port and add implementations of a few additional library functions
- Update the PilRC to the latest version with support for internationalization
- Minor debugger fixes
There is nothing too radical, just a refinement of the features we shipped in V8. I'm hoping this patch will be ready in late November, but we won't release it until we feel the changes are solid. If you're already using V8, please send in your bug reports ASAP, so we can try to address them for this update.
